At 22 Abraham Lincoln left for Illinois,first became a lawyer and then showed interest in politics, Abraham Lincoln was powerful speaker and an acknowledged leader of antislavery movement .


After a series of ups and downs,he was finally elected President of USA in 1860.But,civil war broke in several parts of USA and lasted till 1865.However on 1st January 1863,Abraham Lincoln freed all slaves in the US.


Abraham Lincoln was shot dead while he was in a theatre by John Booth, a fanatical supporter of the Southern States
